Best Butt Exercises

Many women find something wrong with their butt; it is either too big, too small, too saggy, out of shape, but there is always something. You have probably heard of many ways in which you can firm your butt, but all those ways include lots of time, effort and most importantly, money. There are many ways in which you can get your butt into shape without buying all these fancy and expensive gadgets; here are a few of them that you could do in the comfort of your own home:

Squats
These are one of the most effective exercises to tone your butt, hips and thighs and they can be done in many different ways. One of them is to stand with your feet apart and squat while keeping your back straight, stomach pulled in and knees just behind your toes. Let your buttocks lightly touch the chair behind you and squeeze your buttocks when you return to the standing position. Repeat this as many times as you can and if you would like to add intensity you can lift light weights at the same time.

Step-Ups
For this exercise you have to put one foot on a platform or step and push though the heel onto the step. This exercise is great for the glutes as long as you use a step that is high enough and also make sure that your knee is bent only to a 90 degree angle, or maybe even less. Another way to perfecting this exercise is by concentrating all of your weight into the stepping leg. Lower down gently, hardly touching the toes of the other leg to the floor.

Lunges
Many people find this difficult to do because it works so many muscles at the same time and proves to be rather challenging. On the back leg you will exercise the calves and quads and on the front leg it will be the hamstrings and glutes. The best part about this exercise is that there are different ones to choose from so when you get sick of the one you can do the next one. Some of the different ones include Wheel Lunges, Walking lunges, Side to Side lunges, Front lunges and Reverse lunges. You can also raise the back foot on a step if you want to challenge both legs. This is great for the butt, thighs and glutes.

Walking
Many people will not consider walking as an exercise but just something they have to do if they have no means of transport. Besides it getting you to where you need to be, it is also a great butt workout. If you walk to loose that extra flab on your buttocks, you have to walk correctly. Walking up hills will do you some good, as well as tone your calves, but walking briskly also helps with any unwanted flab. This is definitely the best and easiest workout that is actually worthwhile as it doesn’t require any equipment and you can do it anywhere.

Kickboxing
This is a great workout as it helps to tone your butt, hips and thighs while keeping you fit at the same time. All those complex moves that you have to perform really do make a difference. You can burn a lot of calories by kickboxing, for example, a 140lb woman can burn up to 500 calories by kickboxing for 45 minutes.

These are just a few of the effective ways in which a woman can firm her butt, some other ways are running, biking, hiking and for a whole body workout, swimming. Remember that all these workouts have to be done continuously if you want to see results.
