Flat Stomach Exercises

Everyone wants to know what the best flat stomach exercises are. Unfortunately there are no simple answers; in fact there are no clear cut one size fits all solutions that will work for everybody. Fear not however; there are some simple guidelines that can be followed that allow the avid fitness enthusiast to get their flat stomach exercises accomplished with a minimum amount of time, sweat, and tears.

Preparing your exercise area before attempting any flat stomach exercises is a good place to start. Make sure that your floor is clean and clear of dust, pet hair or clutter. No one want to breath in dust or hair while exercising. This will only lead to respiratory irritation and that is never good. Imagine coughing while you are in the middle of your flat stomach exercises; your abs will yell at you with each muscle spasm, not to mention having to go for tissue in the middle of your flat stomach exercises will break up the flow of your workout, and just act as an unnecessary distraction. Clutter also makes for unnecessary distractions during your flat stomach exercises. Keeping the focus on your exercises is the main goal here, the less distractions the better. Most people do not like exercising to begin with so eliminating possible excuses is a good way to keep your self on track.

Having a clear workout routine in mind for your flat stomach exercises is also a good idea. On the spot improvisation often leads to slacking on your workout. Not having a clear number in your mind about how many sets you plan on doing, and how many reps in a set generally leads to half sets, and giving up as soon as you get tired. This obviously will not do considering the point of flat stomach exercises is to work the muscles to exhaustion thus creating a good muscle tone. Many people like to break the total number of reps that they plan on doing in to three sets, and take a small break in between (a small break means about thirty seconds, not five minutes).

Working out along with an exercise video often motivates people through the sweat to push them selves beyond what they normally can accomplish. There are plenty of flat stomach exercises out there, and an instructional video is usually a good way to get in to the swing of things. Eventually you will be comfortable enough to do flat stomach exercises without the video, but until then use whatever help is available.

Lastly it is a good idea to have realistic goals before embarking on a bunch of flat stomach exercises routines. If you are quite overweight doing ten crunches a day for a month is not going to get rid of your belly; in fact you might not see any difference; your muscles may be getting a workout, but the fat is still there, and until you get rid of the fat with some cardio, your six pack attained with flat stomach exercises will remain invisible. So naturally any flat stomach exercises that you do should be accompanied by a good cardio workout to loose the fat.

If you already have somewhat of a flat stomach, you can go easy on the cardio and instead focus more on the flat stomach exercises. It usually takes a lot of intense work to get that flat ans sexy six pack stomach, so keep working through the sweat and know that eventually you will get there in the end. Like most things in life you have to work for the good things, and it is the same way if you want to achieve a six pack.
